View active users

Instructors and administrators can view active users within their organization's Möbius site.

Active user — A user that's currently logged in to Möbius.

From the list of active users, profiles can be viewed and users can be force logged out of Möbius.

If a user exits Möbius without logging off (for example, by closing their browser window), they'll remain listed as an active user until their profile times out from inactivity. Once their profile times out, they'll no longer be listed as an active user.

To view active users

To view active users within your organization's Möbius site:

1. Click System Admin on the System Homepage. (Instructors will see a different System Admin menu.)

2. Click Active Users. A table of active users displays, listing each user's login, first name, last name, role, email, and last login (administrators also see a Logoff option to force log out users). Instructors will see a modified version of this table.

Instructors and administrators can click a user login to go directly to that user's Möbius profile.

Administrators can force an individual user to log out of Möbius:

1. Click Logoff in the row of the user you want to force to log out.

2. The user is logged out in real time. A success message displays and the list of active users updates.

Administrators can force multiple users to log out of Möbius at the same time:

1. Select the check boxes of the users you want to force to log out.

2. Click Logoff.

3. All selected users are logged out simultaneously in real time. A success message displays and the list of active users updates.

Instructors can refresh their browser window to update the list of active users. Administrators can click Refresh at any time to update the list.
